It's Saturday, March 7th 2015 and I'm standing at the starting line at an Atlanta-area high school track with seven young, fit, powerful, college girls ready to start our heat of the 100 meter dash. I am feeling extremely ridiculous. I do not look young and nubile like the other girls on the line and I know the crowd of 800 or so spectators, parents and youth, are wondering, "What the heck?" I am giggling to myself thinking the same thing, "How did I get here?" At that moment, I knew I had to write about this journey and document how I got there.
